You must be psychic! Last night my husband and I decided that the week-old beef chuck in the fridge should be boeuf bourguignon by at least Saturday! I hope it’ll still be good! I tend to shop too much and forget what I’ve bought! 😀 Your recipe sounds super delicious!

What a hearty and flavourful stew! I’ve never even considered trying to make my own tomato paste…maybe I would if I could grow an abundance of tomatoes successfully, but all we ever end up with at the end of the season are plenty of green ones!

Hi Tracy – what a recipe and I loved your story about tomato paste being one of the few items you buy canned. I make my own stock, pickles and chutneys and today I bought ghee at the farmers market but apparently ghee I then found out is easy to make – well of course then I felt guilty! So good to hear even you don’t make everything from Scratch!

I make something similar and it actually is my Dad’s recipe. I love this kind of all-in-one pot meal with lots of good veggies. Thanks for co-hosting 🙂

LOL, I am also a big fan a Boeuf Bourguignon (imagine my french pronunciation now .. with a slightly swiss accent … :)) . I usually use lots of wine (for the dish and for me while I cook :)) and use the Beef “chicks” part for the meat: it melts in your mouth !
